Casa Verde is a full apartment renovation located in the heart of Barcelona, created for homeowners who wanted to preserve the property's historic charm while adapting it to modern living. The design respects the original architecture by restoring key period features and pairing them with contemporary interventions that improve comfort and functionality. Natural stone, warm oak, handcrafted ceramics, and soft neutral tones establish a calm, timeless atmosphere throughout the home. A reconfigured floor plan enhances circulation, introduces generous storage, and allows natural light to reach previously enclosed spaces. Every element was selected with longevity in mind, resulting in interiors that feel authentic rather than overly renovated. Casa Verde celebrates the balance between heritage and modern design, creating a home that feels elegant, welcoming, and effortlessly livable.
The apartment retained many beautiful original details, including decorative ceiling moldings, tall windows, and traditional architectural proportions, but years of incremental alterations had left the layout inefficient and disconnected. Our renovation focused on restoring the home's character while improving the way each space functions for everyday life. Non-structural partitions were removed to strengthen the relationship between the kitchen, dining, and living areas, while bespoke cabinetry introduced discreet storage throughout the apartment without competing with its historic features. A restrained palette of limestone, natural oak, brushed brass, and handmade ceramic tiles reinforces the dialogue between old and new, allowing restored elements to remain the visual focus. Layered lighting and carefully curated furnishings add warmth while highlighting architectural details. The completed home feels brighter, more spacious, and deeply connected to its original identity, offering contemporary comfort without sacrificing the timeless qualities that make the apartment unique.
